
The Twilight Committee is working to collect items for 40 hygiene kits by the end of December, 2025
Needed items include:
body wash or bar soap
shampoo & conditioner (full size bottles)
lotion (full size bottles)
deodorant
combs
razors & shaving cream
tooth paste & toothbrushes
floss or flossers
tampons and feminine pads
hand sanitizer
to arrange donation drop off.
Kits will be assembled and donated to the YWCA Center for Safety and Empowerment
In-Kind donation receipts available on request from the
Topeka Lions Foundation, a registered 501 c,3 non-profit

Kansas Senate Bill 71 - postponed until Jan. 2026
Increasing the criminal penalties for buying sexual relations, removing provisions regarding city ordinances prohibiting buying sexual relations, requiring certain offenders to complete an educational or treatment program regarding commercial sexual exploitation and requiring the attorney general to approve such programs in consultation with the office of judicial administration.
